We have set up this site to try and bring together the best information and news about buying and renting out a holiday home in the UK. There has been a big change in the self-catering market in the last few years, the number of properties on the market has increased and so have the standards that customers are expecting. But information on the ins and outs, the problems and benefits of owning a property for holiday rental is still quite hard to come by.
Who are we? This site has been put together by the staff here at www.bluechipvacations.com, a self-catering marketing agency, based in South Devon and focused on 4 and 5 star properties. We rent out properties on behalf of property owners and obviously have a vested interest in owners using an agency but we want this site to be as open and balanced as possible. Many people successfully rent out their property directly to guests and we will aim to provide information on how you too can do this, as well as the pros and cons of using an agency.
